What makes her feel good about our Maui Nui
community?
“It is small and I can walk to a lot of places. The merchants
in my community of Makawao are really friendly also. Fi–
nally, the Hawaiian Immersion community.”
What is she concerned about in Maui Nui?
“The major development and prices in our community be–
cause there are many beaches that we can’t access. The
price of houses and gas concerns me too because I would
like to live here in the future.”
What is her idea to address this community concern?
“We carpool to use less gas. Also we should build houses
for local people who live here now and in the future.”
What are her hopes for Maui’s future?
“I would like Maui to be the same, with sugarcane fields
and a country like feel, not like the city.”
