What makes her feel good about our Maui Nui
community?
“I am proud that more and more people on the island of
Maui are recycling. I am also glad that there are many
groups for students my age to prepare themselves for
college.”
What is she concerned about in Maui Nui?
“I am concerned that girls are getting pregnant at an early
age. It also disappoints me that there are many students
drinking and smoking in school.”
What is her idea to address this community concern?
“Think about finishing school before you have a baby be–
cause you’ll go further in life.”
What are her hopes for Maui’s future?
“I would like to see a lot of pasture land and not a lot of
building, and also more money put into schools for lunches
and books, for example.”
