"Youth Alliance has taught me many skills I can use to become a good leader."

Meet our members

Frank DeFeliccia, St. Anthony High School

What makes him feel good about our Maui Nui
community?

“My community is involved in drug prevention and trying
to help former drug users start over in life.”

What is he concerned about in Maui Nui?

“I am concerned about the alcohol abuse which causes
more accidents, injuries and deaths; the rising cost of
housing and schools; the lack of teachers; and the low
amount of job opportunities on Maui.”

What is his idea to address the community concern?

“I would like people to keep a closer eye on what goes on
in the community and pay attention to the statistics like
the amount of drug users, alcohol abusers, unemployed
and homeless, and try to figure out ways to fix these prob–
lems.”

What are his hopes for Maui’s future?

“I would like Maui to look how it does on a postcard, a par–
adise that’s free of garbage, drug use and alcohol abuse.”

“With Youth Alliance
I’ve learned that a
lot of places in the
community are built
from hard work and
perseverance.”
