What makes her feel good about our Maui Nui
community?
“There aren’t tall buildings everywhere and you are sur–
rounded by the ocean. I also enjoy how everybody knows
one another and that it’s not too developed.”
What is she concerned about in Maui Nui?
“All the building that is going on. The more people build
on beaches and in nice areas, Maui will start to lose what’s
special about it.”
What is her idea to address this community concern?
“We can become aware of what’s happening by going to
community meetings and reading the newspaper. We can
also write letters of opinion on what matters to us.”
What are her hopes for Maui’s future?
“I hope Maui doesn’t change a lot and that we build
better roads and keep our island clean from litter.”
