Youth Alliance session focuses on Maui Memorial Medical Center
With the help of Maui Memorial Medical Center staff, Alliance members learned about opportunities available in Maui’s health care fields, ranging from nursing to radiology and toured the operating rooms, labor and delivery unit, and radiology labs of Maui’s hospital. CEO Wesley Lo shared the hospital’s vision for expansion of its services, facilities and reach in the near term. Members practiced public speaking in preparation for testifying at upcoming County Council meetings. Surprise Guest Speaker Councilmember Mike Molina shared his personal journey from teacher to councilmember and inspired the members to see the value of being aware and conscientious members of our community.
